Robert M. Harrison

Robert M. "Mike" Harrison has led the engineering and operations of highly complex international oil and natural gas projects since joining Amoco in 1979. He has overseen several billion dollars of investment in frontier projects, including Engineering Department Manager for Amoco Argentina, Amoco International Operations Group Coordinator of International Production New Ventures, and Colombian Asset Manager for Amoco Colombia. In Colombia, Mr. Harrison served as Amoco's project manager for the Opon project, working with Messrs. Childs and Brownlie. Recently, Mr. Harrison managed more than $500MM of expenditures in West Africa, which included several projects that required all phases of in country start-up: drilling operations, well engineering, procurement, shore base logistics, supply chain management, offshore rig mobilization, on-site drilling, completion and testing, operations supervision, regulatory and governmental liaison, and security and risk management. He served on the Board of Centric Energy Corp, adding 2.5 billion barrels of prospective oil resources to the company, which was subsequently acquired by Africa Oil. In addition, Mr. Harrison has extensive experience with onshore and offshore projects in the Middle East, Trinidad, Bolivia, India, Africa, Europe and the United States. Mr. Harrison led the $20 billion effort for the cleanup of the B.P. spill in the Gulf of Mexico. Mr. Harrison holds a B.S. in Petroleum Engineering from Mississippi State University.
